NETSGC TO CELEBRATE BLACK HISTORY MONTH BY HOSTING PANEL DISCUSSION WITH INFLUENTIAL BLACK LEADERS IN THE 2K COMMUNITY TONIGHT, FEB. 24

Free, virtual panel will be hosted by 2K League Reporter, Autumn Johnson, and feature conversation with notable 2K leaders including Warriors Gaming Squad’s Ev Mathurin, NBA 2K League Community Ambassador Graham “BlkFrankWhite” Borden, Mavs GG’s Toijuin “LT” Fairley, and NetsGC’s Ivan “OG KING CURT” Curtiss

BROOKLYN (Feb. 24, 2021) – To celebrate Black History Month, Nets Gaming Crew (NetsGC), the NBA 2K League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets, will host a virtual panel discussion with successful Black American leaders in the 2K community tonight, Wednesday, Feb. 24. The conversation will focus on the importance of Black History Month and celebrating diversity in the 2K community and the esports industry overall.

“NetsGC is thrilled to use our platform to host an engaging conversation with Black game changers in the esports industry,” NetsGC Head Coach and General Manager, Ivan “OG KING CURT” Curtiss, said. “This incredible group of individuals are breaking barriers for Black Americans in the 2K community, and it is our hope to work alongside them and continue to pave the way for the next generation of 2K players and business professionals.”

The discussion will be livestreamed on NetsGC’s Twitch channel (www.twitch.tv/netsgamingcrew) beginning at 8 p.m. ET and will be moderated by NBA 2K League and NCAA Digital Reporter, Autumn Johnson, who recently was named GameHERs E-Sports Top Analyst of the Year in 2020, and was a finalist for Top Host of the Year. Panel participants include:

  • Ev Mathurin, CEO of WR Pro Am League, Consultant for Warriors Gaming Squad and NBA 2K League. After founding WR League LLC aka WR Pro-Am League, the first Rec Center/Pro Am League ever on PS4, the organization has grown substantially and distributed more than $350,000 in prize money since launching – the largest of any Pro Am organization.
  • Graham “BlkFrankWhite” Borden, NBA 2K League Community Ambassador. Borden is a New York-native who rose to prominence in the 2K community after creating and distributing engaging 2K content across YouTube and Twitch, and currently works for the NBA 2K League.
  • Toijuin “LT” Fairley, Mavs GG Head Coach and General Manager. In addition to his current role with Mavs GG, Fairley is the co-owner and creator of the famed MPBA Pro-Am league.
  • Ivan “OG KING CURT” Curtiss, NetsGC Head Coach and General Manager. In addition to serving in his role with NetsGC, Curtiss is the co-founder of the famed MPBA Pro-Am league and currently creates/hosts the #OG2CENTS Podcast and serves as Co-Host of EsportsXTRA.
