NetsGC Draft Prospect: Charger

Despite being a first-time draft pool selection, Charger is a community veteran and familiar name for those who have been around the Pro-Am scene long enough. His versatility and extensive history in competitive NBA 2K make him a prime candidate to be selected on Saturday, likely in the first half of the draft.

What Has He Accomplished?

Considering his run as a long-time member of the blue-chip Pro-Am team Space Jam, Charger has been there and done that. The NBA 2K League has several Space Jam alumni because of the team’s sustained success in the amateur scene, and Charger will in all probability be the latest to join them. His pedigree can’t be questioned.

What’s His Playstyle?

Versatility won’t be an issue with Charger. A former center, he made the recent switch to power forward, allowing him to show off his strong off-ball defense and a solid shooting stroke. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see him picked to run either the 4 or 5 in the league.

Where Could He Go?

Charger has first-round pick potential. The highest he was selected in a team-run mock draft was Magic Gaming’s, where he was picked 14th overall to Pistons GT, which would mean a reunion with Space Jam mainstays Ramo and Demon JT. In NetsGC’s own mock draft, he didn’t last much longer, going 16th overall to Hawks Talon GC. His steepest fall was to the second pick of the second round at 24th overall to Lakers Gaming in Hornets Venom GT’s January mock. Any team in need of a power forward will have to give him a look early on.
