Going up against an offensive powerhouse in 76ers GC, the team held strong in the first half, entering the break down just five points. After a defensive 28-23 first half, the teams clamped down even further in the second half, with 76ers GC outscoring NetsGC 22-14 the rest of the way. Steez and Breadwinner, 76ers GC’s frontcourt, set an NBA 2K League single-game record with nine steals apiece in the win.
NetsGC held its own defensively. Although superstar point guard Radiant finished with a game-high 22 points, he did so on 8-19 shooting, and 76ers GC finished with a sub-50% mark from the field. NetsGC held ZDS, coming off a 39-point outburst in a week seven win over Mavs Gaming, to just two points on seven attempts from the field.

Shockey provided a boost offensively, finishing with a team-high 14 points on 7-9 shooting. He also notched a game-high 12 rebounds as NetsGC outrebounded 76ers GC 21-14. Every NetsGC player finished with at least five points.
Nonetheless, the team knows that there are mistakes to correct, turnovers to limit, and shots to hit. The playoff race is heating up, and so it’s time to lock in.
On the Horizon: It’s off to Orlando for THE TICKET Tournament, where NetsGC will have a high seed by virtue of its 3-1 record since THE TURN. The tournament will take place at “The Fortress,” Full Sail University’s new esports arena, from June 13-15. Single-day and full-tournament ticket packages are available for purchase on the NBA 2K League website.
